2009 Tournament in Review




               AVON, SUMRALL TAKE BOYS GOLF STATE TITLES


             Avon won its first state championship in any sport
           and Mishawaka Marian senior Adam Sumrall won
           the individual title at the 73rd IHSAA Boys Golf State
           Finals at The Legends of Indiana Golf Course in
           Franklin.
             After a rain-soaked first round on Tuesday, Avon
           (293-294-587) (+11) maintained its slim lead over
           Evansville North (296-293-589) (+13) on Wednesday
           to win by two strokes under very warm, sunny skies.

           (306-306-612) and Hamilton Southeastern (299-315-
