Welcome to this

        championship event

For more than 100 years, the IHSAA has enjoyed
being a part of the journey to adulthood for thousands
of young Hoosiers. Knowing that the student-athletes
we meet today will be the leaders of tomorrow, we are
grateful for the opportunity to help them as they learn Special Thanks To Our Hosts
     valuable life lessons through athletics.
                                                  Ball State University
Currently in Indiana, over 160,000 students from 411 Muncie Visitors Bureau
different IHSAA member schools participate in high John E. Worthen Arena
school athletics. From our perspective, participation in
athletics is an integral part of the educational process.
At the IHSAA we believe State Finals Personnel
that the athletic arena is an Tournament Administrator

                     The national organization

(NFHS) has used the slogan, Officials
“Athletics, the other half of Rick Golichoswki, Trey Miller, Mike Zehr,
education.” We believe that Karen Carswell, Cary Schnick, Pam Shively,
is a very accurate adage. Kathy Brown-Sparrow, Todd Pilarski
There are many things to be
learned through athletics that may not be a part of the Line Judges
regular classroom setting including lessons such as, Jennifer Leffler, Jeff Harper, Connie Dinnsen,
Zach Bird, Janice Jasinski-Beck, Joe Spinsky,
self-discipline, the value of teamwork, the importance Tim Compton, Bill Simpson
of dedication and commitment. Each of these can
have a dramatic impact on today’s youth as they Athletic Training Staff

it’s their ability to deal with success or overcome great Jamie Celichowski LAT, ATC; Jason Moffitt LAT, ATC
adversity, the important lessons learned will last a
lifetime. Each experience helps shape who one is and
who they will become. Program Credits
