Ella Mohamed is a standout student athlete at Northridge High School,
where she competes in Basketball and Track & Field for the Raiders. Known
for her selflessness, positivity, and tireless work ethic, Ella is a natural
leader, frequently nominated for leadership roles by both her peers and
teachers. She’s an active member of the National Honor Society, Freshmen
Mentors, and Cheer Block, and has also given back to her community by
coaching youth girls’ basketball throughout high school. Ella’s passion for
helping others drives both her academic and career aspirations. A formative
experience babysitting a child with autism sparked her interest in work-
ing with individuals with special needs. Because of this, she plans to major
in Psychology with the goal of pursuing a career in special education or
occupational therapy. Her innate patience, energy, and compassion make
her exceptionally well-suited for this path – qualities she’s already put into
action through a work-based learning placement in a life skills elemen-
tary classroom. Ella embodies the spirit of the Amy Hasbrook Scholarship
through her athletic accomplishments, servant leadership, and meaningful
impact on others. Described by her coach as one of the best leaders he’s

next chapter at Trine University this fall.
