Friends of education-based athletics,
We are incredibly grateful to welcome you to the
2nd Annual IHSAA Foundation Impact Awards.
We hope this banquet will continue to celebrate
the positive work of student-athletes throughout
our state and the power of education-based
athletics.
The IHSAA Centennial Scholarship program was
initiated in 2003-04 to celebrate the
Association’s 100th Anniversary. Over the past
20 years, this program turned into the Cato
Scholarships and eventually partnered with the
Brady Comeback Awards. Now, through the
efforts of the IHSAA Foundation, at this
evening’s event we are proud to award 10
unique scholarships to 26 different Indiana
student-athletes worth a total of $47,000.
Tonight, as student-athletes are recognized for
their achievements and the impact they’ve made
within their own communities, we are reminded
that education-based athletics represent the
best of who we are as Hoosiers. We’re grateful
for faithful donors and champions of high school
sports who support the IHSAA Foundation.
Through programs that serve, empower, and
impact student-athletes, IHSAA Foundation will
continue to support, protect, and preserve the
future of education-based athletics for Indiana
communities for generations to come.
We’re thankful for all who have helped make the Impact Awards possible
tonight. We’re excited to share this monumental evening with you, and look
forward to making an impact for years to come.

The Foundation’s Mission
Founded in 2016 with the idea of raising the
standard of what it means to serve student-
athletes, the IHSAA Foundation provides
resources and guidance for our next
generation of leaders - and those who are
playing an integral part in their development.
The high school athletic experience is more
than just the time spent playing in front of a
crowd each week. It’s the education and
mentoring that student-athletes receive
during practice and between seasons. It’s the
lifelong friends, memories, and lessons that
become the bedrock of a student-athlete’s life
after high school.
The IHSAA Foundation is here to provide the
resources to enrich and sustain those moments that complete the
education-based athletics experience.
To accomplish this goal, the IHSAA Foundation relies on private donations
from individuals and organizations who see the value in education-based
athletics; people like you.
Your support will allow us to continue this needed work. This past year,
we were able to provide support to over 45 member schools through our
grants program and are awarding $56,000 in post-secondary scholarships
to student-athletes.
We are looking to build our resources in future years, but it cannot be
possible without your support. We will never grow tired of ensuring the
future of education-based athletics in Indiana, and we hope you never
will either. It’s never been more imperative to protecte Hoosier high school
sports than it is right now.
I encourage you to join me in our mission of supporting, promoting, and
nurturing education-based athletics for the next generation.
