                        YEARS OLD            The IHSAA was founded in 1903.



                        410                  During the 2014-15 school year,  410 Indiana high schools—public,

                        MEMBER               parochial, private and charter schools—were members of the
                                             IHSAA. School membership in the IHSAA is voluntary.
                        SCHOOLS


                        NO                   Member-schools pay no annual membership fee and no tourna-
                                             ment entry fees. Every year the IHSAA returns more tournament
                        FEES                 revenue to its member-schools than it retains.



                        NO                   The IHSAA is a not-for-profit organization. It is completely
                                             self-supporting and is not the recipient of any local, state or

                        REVENUE              The IHSAA’s revenue comes from four basic sources:
                                             tournament revenue, official licensing fees, broadcast rights

                                             IHSAA sports are education-based. Unlike AAU, travel leagues,

                                             tions, the emphasis of education-based athletics is teaching life
