Fans of Indiana high school sports agree that the
IHSAA Cross Country Finals are among the most
thrilling of all the state championship events. It was
a brisk early November day when Erin Strzelecki of
Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger conquered the LaVern
Gibson championship course in Terre Haute in
a winning time of 17:22.9. Annalyssa Crain from
Edgewood High School finished second.
