The IHSAA derives
its operating income
from a limited
number of sources.
Ticket sales from tournament events, officials licensing fees,
media rights fees and corporate partnerships produce all of
the Association’s revenue. It does not receive any local, state or
federal tax money.
While it’s true that the IHSAA does not have a specific product
or service to sell, it is worth noting that more than half of all
Americans say they are willing to switch brands in order to
support a good cause, given comparable price and quality.
To this point, few brands in the state of Indiana are as well-
known, as highly respected, or as untainted as the IHSAA.
And no cause could be greater than supporting the organiza-
tion that sanctions 22 high school sports for 160,000 teenagers
in Indiana and returns more than half of the income it gener-
ates every year to its 412 member-schools.
Wilson has been the official ball of the IHSAA for more than 30 years.
