LET TER FROM THE
Dear Friends:
With great enthusiasm, I introduce this year’s edition of the IHSAA Annual
Report, a celebration of the enduring spirit of high school sports and our
unwavering commitment to community.
As we delve into the pages of this report, we are reminded of the countless
moments of triumph, resilience, and camaraderie that define our athletic
programs across the state. From the thrill of victory to the lessons learned in
defeat, each experience underscores the invaluable role of sports in shaping the
character and values of our student-athletes and, as a result, our communities.
That sentiment is the inspiration for this year’s theme, “Character, Commitment,
& Community in High School Sports.” It encapsulates the essence of our
collective efforts to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for student-
athletes to thrive. It serves as a reminder of the profound impact that sports can
have in uniting communities and instilling lifelong values.
I extend my sincere appreciation to our dedicated coaches, administrators,
volunteers, and supporters who tirelessly champion the mission of education-
based athletics. Your unwavering commitment to our student-athletes is a
testament to the power of community.
Together, let us continue to nurture a culture of sportsmanship, integrity, and
excellence in high school athletics. Thank you for your constant support, and
may this report inspire us all to further uphold the ideals of character and
commitment to community in the pursuit of athletic excellence.
