The IHSAA Student Advisory Committee (SAC) is a diverse, dynamic group of 18 student-
athletes which serves as a conduit between student athletes, administrators, and the
Executive Committee of the IHSAA. The Student Advisory Committee promotes all standing
ideals of the IHSAA, including leadership, sportsmanship, and integrity.
Each student-athlete serves a two-year term with the group which is made up of nine
seniors and nine juniors. The SAC began in 2001-02 and represents the entire IHSAA
membership of schools, and its structure refl ects that of the IHSAA Board of Directors in
terms of classifi cation and districts.
With assistant commissioners Robert Faulkens and Kerrie Rosati administering, the SAC
meets four times annually – twice each semester – and is responsible for hosting meetings
with their peers at the Fall Area Principals Meetings, assisting with awards ceremonies at
IHSAA state championship events throughout the school year, planning and administering
the annual IHSAA Student Leadership Conference and to engage in and support the
activities of Champions Together - the IHSAA’s partnership with Special Olympics Indiana.
