SECTION SEVEN MARKETING, COMMUNICATIONS AND CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS
A campaign to solicit additional IHSAA corporate partners included ads in business publications, a narrative website with
accompanying video, and a direct mail poster campaign to business leaders that highlights the value of sponsoring high school sports.
Corporate partners are important contributors
to the IHSAA, and a small, select group of new
partnerships would continue to strengthen
the association’s financial base while opening
the door to a broader network of supporters
and advisors in the business community.
To this end, the IHSAA launched a targeted
marketing campaign—including ads in business
publications, direct mail and the development
of a micro website—designed to inform business
leaders about the important role high school
sports play in the culture of our state. Hopefully,
new corporate partnerships will be the result of
this effort. But minimally, the most influential
business people in Indiana have been introduced
to high school sports in a meaningful way.
