2016–17: The Year in Review
Nowhere are the benefits of
teamwork more apparent than in
the administration of high school
athletics in Indiana.
Staging 21 state tournaments, examining nearly 4,000
requests for eligibility, administering penalties for rule
violations, amending association By-Laws, realigning schools
for tournament play, rewarding excellence, monitoring the
activity of state legislators, and staying abreast of all the
challenges and changes that are constantly taking place in
education-based athletics requires the commitment of an
active Board of Directors, an engaged administrative and
support staff, and the tireless contribution of principals,
athletic directors and coaches in every corner of our state.
It’s because of this coordinated team effort that the citizens
of Indiana enjoy the benefits of a robust—and always
entertaining—high school sports scene.
