The Story of Gavinn Alstott
When you’re an IHSAA
“student-athlete,” being a
student always comes first—
just like the phrase implies.
Gavinn goes to school an
hour early every day to study,
helping explain his 4.55 grade
point average.
“You’re always going to have
your ups and downs. It’s up to
you what you do with them.”
–Gavinn Alstott
Not only does it require extra
effort to be an outstanding
student, it demands an
extraordinary commitment of
time, energy and practice to
be an outstanding athlete too.
When Gavinn’s not working out
in the wrestling room with his
teammates, he’s running hills
and lifting weights.
