LET TER FROM THE CHAIRMAN

 LETTER FROM

THE CHAIRMAN To the IHSAA family:

The success of our organization will never be measured by our bottom line. If it were, the
pandemic would make it very difficult to characterize this past year as such. However, with the
proper perspective, 2020-21 was one of the most successful years in our organization’s history
because of what we accomplished while the novel coronavirus continued to change day-to-day
“…our organization embodies the life all over the globe.

One of the reasons we were successful was because our organization embodies the same values
same values education-based athletics education-based athletics teach: teamwork, perseverance, determination, and countless others.
Another reason we found success was because of our stakeholders, who allowed great teamwork

However, as a non-profit organization, we have an incredibly diverse group of stakeholders—all
of whom we want to recognize and give thanks. Every person associated with our member-
schools is paramount to our success; this includes student-athletes, coaches, administrators,
volunteers, parents, and fans. In fact, if you are reading this, you are an IHSAA stakeholder.

In a year of great instability, the IHSAA was steadfast. It was a great success, and it was because
of all our stakeholders who share our passion for education-based athletics because they are
                     essential to society.

                     With great thanks,

                     Chris Conley
