While the goal of high school sports is to win, the
                                                           purpose of education-based athletics is much
                                                           greater. When parents take on the role of number
                                                           one fan instead of sideline coach or manager, they
                                                           allow student-athletes to learn how to overcome
                                                           obstacles and experience the satisfaction of
                                                           working towards a goal.
